une deux trois cat sank.

me by jefra.

I don't know if you noticed but I didn't blog all week.

Nor did I send my mail circuit package on time...
Nor did I get to bed early like I wanted to...
Nor did I keep my room clean.

Life this year has suddenly been a lot more lifelike.
I haven't spent as much time on the computer as I used to.
(Which makes me sound like I was a real nerd)
But it's the truth. and I probably was/am a real nerd.

I've been doing homework, I've been driving, I've been working, I've been interning, I've been talking to people more, I've been smiling a lot, and I've been judging everything a whole lot less, and I've been leaping like a pony - see photo above.  It turns out when you do these things you actually need less "inspiration" than you think you do.

Because... "taking time to live life will only inspire your work"

That is why I haven't blogged as much. I've been living more.
and now I'm going to go make crepes for breakfast.

sorry if you've missed me!

I was too busy being a rockstar.

Look what I made...!

It's a rock-star.

Making a rock-star had been at the bottom of the priority list for far too long,
I had to see my vision realized at some point.

I think I should have that idea patented because it is pretty clever if you ask me.

How was your weekend?

blog crush: A Lovely Being

I am seriously obsessed with Fallon Elizabeth's blog A Lovely Being. She combines touches of everything that is good and lovely in the world like art, history, fashion, and interiors, and pulls them all together into a classy little corner of the web! (She blogs about Jenna Lyons and vintage Dior, what more could you ask for.) It's become a favorite read of mine... take a peek!

Imagine that.

We went to this.
Yep sure did and this is how it looked...

When your friends flake out on you, 'tis best to make your little brothers and your mom take you instead.
In fact, you should just plan on having your little brothers and mom take you before your friends even have the chance to start flaking.
The reason why is because me and the little brothers have serious dance moves.
Better than anyone at that whole place, I'm 99% sure.
I am not pulling your leg when I say that it probably makes people's days to see us dance.

We are so good.

too bad having sweet dance moves doesn't win you an invite to homecoming.
what? who said that?

comment allez-vous, i'm alright, how are you.

I ask them to take a poem
and hold it up to the light
like a color slide
or press an ear against its hive.
I say drop a mouse into a poem
and watch him probe his way out,
or walk inside the poem's room
and feel the walls for a light switch.
I want them to water-ski
across the surface of a poem
waving at the author's name on the shore.
But all they want to do
is tie the poem to a chair with rope
and torture a confession out of it.
They begin beating it with a hose
to find out what it really means.

... and now I must write a response. But, I think I've already mentioned how I feel about this stuff.

This year, I am not taking hard classes. This is not to say that I am taking easy classes, I'm just taking worthwhile classes. I'm taking math, I'm taking AP english, I'm taking my sixth year of French class, and I'm taking interior design and photography. None of it really qualifies as 'hard', but it qualifies as interesting. And when your whole schedule is full of interesting and you actually really want to do a good job, it turns into 'hard'. Especially when you have time management issues like, ahem, someone I know... who is me. And if you asked me what I've been doing all day, I would answer to you "No, I have not been making covers for my binders and online browsing ASOS. That is for sure..."

Haha, Oh school, what am I to do about you?

ps: we gave our bunnies to the pet store today. they were ruining the grass in our backyard, and they turned mean once we got two of them and they didn't need us anymore. but it sure was sad to see little Ruby shaking and sad when we took her to the pet store. oh ruby and abel! if only you hadn't been so rude none of this would ever have happened! :(
