up to a centimeter.

by now it should be obvious to all of you that I LOVE ART. and I LOVE ART HISTORY.
i don't think i've ever sat down and written a post just about it because it's one of those things i really don't think i have adequate words to describe. so instead i just try to express it through little posts and through putting art history really big on the about me page.

what i'm trying to get at is this... while innocently going online to do my french homework i was diverted by the words "Now, thanks to new high-definition technology by Halta Definizione, you can enjoy every exquisite detail of Venus and other Italian masterworks, even if you live an ocean away from Italy." well gee! i had to take a look! now, i'm one of those people who goes to museums and puts their face pretty much on the painting because there's something that i just love about seeing the strokes and the smallest details and that deserves a post of it's own, but for now...

isn't Botticelli's Venus's hair so pretty?

and how he makes the sleeve looks sheer?

and look! it's Hayez's The Kiss hanging on the wall in Induno's Sad Presentiment!
who would have ever known?

and you guys, you can get way closer than these screenshots are!

i don't know why i think that's so dang great.
but i do.

XO Rosie

you should REALLY consider doing one of UVU's Art History international programs, they're only the month of may! Deadline for applications is in a couple months.. I work at the international center, so if you're interested, totally stop by! I feel like you would THRIVE!

Even though I don't know as much about art history as you do, I totally agree with you. I LOVE ART. and I LOVE ART HISTORY. I love it so, so much. I never tire of learning about it.

Also, today in my history class, my professor said the words, "the fabulous Nefertiti". I just thought you would enjoy that, because I know I did.
